Hide your cats, because it’s time for a visit from your favourite alien from Melmac. It’s Alf Plays Detective. I’ll admit I don’t have a lot of memories of the show. I think I only saw a few episodes because being on in prime time, and only having one TV meant that something “with a puppet” probably wasn’t something my dad would have wanted to watch (even though I know I saw all of the Muppets in years prior to that). I actually have more memories of the two animated Saturday morning cartoons based on the show. To this day I still think of the “shumwidget”. Anyway, enjoy!
